DOVIA Professional Development Workshop offers a full day of professional development and networking with others who coordinate volunteers. Organized and coordinated by DOVIA members, this workshop is tailored to address local needs and trends in volunteer management. The 2017 speakers include Mayor Betsy Price and Stephanie Zink.

The Nonprofit Learning Lab approaches trainings with an understanding that nonprofit professionals have a base of knowledge and are seeking out additional information and guidance to more effectively operate in their roles. Typically, 75% of attendees have at least 12-15 years of experience working for community-based nonprofits. Trainings offer practical strategies to help nonprofits be more effective in their overall management.

  • Learning how to help avoid or deal with burnout in volunteers (and staff)
