Innovating volunteerism since 1971

Since our founding in Dallas, Texas, we’ve championed volunteerism by connecting volunteers with nonprofit opportunities.

In our first decades, we grew beyond volunteer recruitment to offer corporate engagement programs, support for nonprofits, goods donations, and large-scale volunteer initiatives. By 1999, we had expanded our reach, forming a regional volunteer hub in North Texas.

In 2005, following hurricanes Katrina and Rita, we helped launch the Mass Care Task Force, an unprecedented collaboration with the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and North Texas Food Bank to coordinate disaster response.

With a vision to bring volunteerism to the masses, we launched a proprietary community platform, VOLY.org, in 2013. Since its launch, VOLY.org has scaled social impact by connecting more than 5,200 organizations with 525,000 volunteers a year.

Today, VolunteerNow™ is one of the nation’s largest volunteer centers and the driving force of VolunteerPower™. In the past decade, we’ve generated $330 million in financial impact for nonprofits through volunteers contributing 1.6 million hours every year to their communities.
