This hands-on workshop will guide you through building the tools and resources for a successful volunteer program including policies and procedures, a volunteer application, job description, volunteer handbook, orientation checklist, liability waiver and more.
Participation in this workshop will help you:
Identify the fundamental tools and resources needed for a successful volunteer program
Understand key policies and procedures for managing volunteers
Develop a table of contents for a volunteer manual
Learn the components of an effective volunteer job description
Identify acknowledgements recommended to protect your volunteers and your agency
Establish a checklist for volunteer orientation and training
Please bring samples of your current materials and be ready to ‘roll-up up your sleeves’ and work.
The course is ideal for anyone responsible for managing volunteers including nonprofit volunteer managers, executive directors, program managers, and volunteer leaders.
